Dixie Pigs is located in Rockmart, GA NW of Atlanta. We do NOT use the labels such as Nano, Pixie, Pocket Pigs, Micro, Tea Cup etc to sell our pigs. Those just named are NOT breeds. Those are marketing terms used by backyard breeders and greeders. Scientist in bio-medical labs are responisble for downsizing the miniature breeds for research. It was in the mid eighties that some of these pigs got into the pet trade. The word miniature is used to describe the size comparison to a full sized pig which is commonly seen on farms.
